  • Clare Stebbing

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Clare has been a Pilates fan for over 20 years. She started doing mat pilates and then began reformer classes when a Club Pilates studio opened in her neighborhood. At first Pilates was a great work out. Now, after 2 knee surgeries and chronic back pain she loves it for rehabilitative reasons. A few years ago she began training to be an instructor and felt her own practice develop and grow as she learned more about each exercise and the anatomy behind it. Now she loves inspiring new Pilates devotees to enjoy the benefits of Pilates, especially feeling increased flexibility.

  • Gretchen Roscoe

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor, NCPT

Gretchen was introduced to Pilates in the early 1990’s and instinctively knew it was going to be a lifelong love affair. She used Pilates to keep herself strong and flexible while she ran, surfed, and played volleyball. After graduating from college with a health science degree, she continued to use Pilates to keep herself healthy and protect her spine as I worked physically with patients as a first responder in the hospital. Pilates was her rehab while she recovered from injuries in the past as well as my more recent knee surgery. Pilates kept her moving, and happy, through her pregnancies. It has been an exciting journey for her and she has been afforded some amazing opportunities over the years to mentor under 2nd generation Joseph Pilates teachers, directly descended from Ron Fletcher. Pilates was a gift to me and later, after leaving my hospital work behind, it made perfect sense that teaching Pilates would be my next calling. Gretchen completed her training in 2012 and has run forward with so much joy in my heart at the simple idea of not only sharing her love for Pilates but also helping those who need it most. Those with injuries, limitations, pregnancies, and children of all ages. As well as athletes, young and old, training for competition, and those who are the everyday warriors going to work or school and making their way through life. She is a believer and practitioner in the mind, body, spirit philosophy of Joseph Pilates. That with a concentration on whole body health, you can do it all and be well!

  • Helen Brady

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Helen has been teaching with Club Pilates for over 4 years. Prior to that she worked as a scientist in the biotech industry. She is a lifelong fitness enthusiast and discovered Club Pilates the same week she stopped working in biotech. She had previously done mat-based Pilates on and off for years but just loved the workouts on the reformer and other equipment that Club Pilates provides. Helen decided to join the Club Pilates Teacher Training program so that she could obtain the knowledge needed to share her passion with others. She really loves teaching Pilates and helping clients whether they are recovering from injuries or trying to improve fitness. She particularly enjoys introducing new clients to Pilates and witnessing how transformational it can be. Helen is enthusiastic about opportunities to grow as a Pilates instructor and gain more knowledge to help her clients. She is certified in Barre Above and has recently completed CEC workshops in Pilates for Scoliosis and Hip and Knee Biomechanics on the reformer through BASI.

  • Jennifer Ingle

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor, NCPT

Jen Ingle was introduced to Pilates over 15 years ago. Always being an avid exercises she loved the low impact and dance inspiration that Pilates provided. Being a dance for over 18 years she enjoyed how Pilates felt like a dance routine. After hopping around from studio to studio she finally ended up at Club Pilates in Rancho Bernardo. She began attending classes in 2010 and was hooked. She loved the culture, the people and the workout. After working in the Corporate world for over 10 years in various finance jobs she finally followed her first passion: fitness. Leaving her full time job in June of 2015 she began teacher Training on July 11, 2015. She began teaching as an Apprentice in October of 2015 and finished her 500 hour Certification in January of 2016, exactly 6 months to the day. Expanding her fitness repertoire Jen recently became a certified personal trainer under ACE Fitness and is also a coach at Orangetheory Fitness. You can find her on the schedule on Wednesday evenings.

  • Joey (joann) Esposito

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Joey discovered Pilates more than 15 years ago and it was love at first plank. She moved to San Diego shortly after graduating UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and sought exercise that would eliminate the Freshman 15 she could never shed. She was also suffering knee and back pain due to sports injuries from track and martial arts. She became curious about Pilates and took private lessons for the next few years training on the reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, barrel and mat. After 10-20 sessions she noticed a difference in her posture, muscle definition, strength, and disappearing pain. The vast variety of exercises, apparatus, and mind-body focus Pilates provides invigorated her love for fitness and precision with movement. Once she began classes at Club Pilates Rancho Bernardo in 2011 she embarked on the Teacher Training Program. Her journey as a teacher has been incredibly fulfilling because she adores when clients experience a breakthrough and connect with the movement on a deeper level. Her goal is to create a feeling of strength, focus and joy in her classes. In addition to Pilates, Joey loves barre, yoga, hiking, snowboarding, golf, cooking, holistic health and will try just about any activity you can throw at her. She balances her full-time job in Human Resources with teaching Pilates. You will also find her spending time with her love, furry baby and enjoying the wonderful craft beer, restaurants, live music and culture San Diego offers.

  • Katie Sabo

Katie found Pilates in 2011 when she was searching for ways to help push her out of her depression and get back into exercising because “exercise releases endorphins, and endorphins make you happy.” With her first class, she found muscles she hadn’t used in years or had even known existed, and fell in love with it. Shortly after, Katie was introduced to the Club Pilates Teacher Training program, and knew that she wanted to become an instructor so that she could share the joy and benefits of Pilates with others. Her goal is for clients to leave her classes feeling stronger, more limber, and all-around better in both body and mind than when they walked through the door. For Katie, half the fun is growing as an instructor and finding new and fun ways to challenge while still accommodating clients so that everyone can move at their own pace.

  • Kristen Bucheli

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Kristen Bucheli first discovered Pilates 6 years ago when she and her mother decided to take a class together. Not much for exercise before then, she was hooked from the beginning and it has inspired her to try more forms of exercise though, nothing competes to her Happy Place with Pilates. Shortly thereafter, Kristen found Club Pilates and was blow away by the culture that is demonstrated each and every day by the welcoming and knowledgeable instructors. In an effort to expand her Pilates knowledge, Kristen joined the Club Pilates Teacher Trainer program. Why not learn from the best! She completed the 500 hour program in a little over 9 months, became an apprentice and eventually graduated to a Club Pilates Instructor. Kristen strives to make class enjoyable for everyone! For sure, focus on your breath, but vocal feedback during class is always welcome and in fact, encouraged! If you want to do a particular exercise, shout it out and Kristen will do her best to make it happen! She believes firmly that exercise should also be fun so you might catch her raising the roof during Marky Marks “Good Vibrations” in a Cardio Sculpt, or you might catch the running man during 80’s cardio. And she promises not to sing (much) as her singing voice is atrocious. She may even throw in a joke or two as laughter is good for the core! Kristen was born and raised in San Diego and recently moved up to Ramona for some good ‘ol country livin’! She now owns a cowboy hat and might possibly own a pair of boots to go with it! If she’s not in the studio, you can catch her lounging poolside while her dogs do laps in the pool.

  • Marie Wittmann

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Marie instantaneously fell in love with Pilates when she tried a Reformer class when Club Pilates La Mesa first opened! Because Pilates was extremely beneficial for her right from the beginning, Marie decided to take the Teacher Training through Club Pilates in order to be able to share her new passion with as many people as possible. Marie was so eager to become an Instructor that she completed her 500-hour program within only a couple months! After teaching more than 4,000 hours, Marie still loves teaching group classes, and is always eager to share her knowledge with as many people as possible. She always wants to keep increasing her own knowledge and learning new things: she has extensive knowledge of group apparatus-based exercises as well as training men; she holds an Advance Education ‘Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies’ Certification through Body Arts and Science International (BASI); and has completed a course for Programming Pilates for Children and Teenagers through the Pilates Method Alliance. Marie LOVES teaching Pilates to EVERYbody, and you will notice it instantly! She will walk you through safe, challenging workouts in a fun yet professional manner. She is always happy to help you make every single exercise successful, and you will leave her class cheerful and feeling strong, ready for more Pilates!

  • Nadine Levy

    Club Pilates Certified Instructor

Nadine took her first Pilates class back in 2011. It was the first of many private lessons she would take with a Physical Therapist. However, it only took that very first session for her to know she loved Pilates and wanted to pass on that passion to others. As soon as her two boys were old enough to go to school, Nadine enrolled in the Club Pilates teacher training. She started teaching as an apprentice in November 2015 and completed the 500 hour certification in February 2016. Nadine considers herself a professional student, as she is always looking to deepen her knowledge of Pilates, both in theory and in practice. When not in the studio, you can find Nadine with her family at the beach or hiking, and she also enjoys cooking and reading.

With 3 months until her wedding and friends telling her to get back into Pilates, she spontaneously bought an unlimited membership at Club Pilates Rancho Bernardo. • Brooke Webb

Brooke fell in love with Pilates and never looked back in 2013. In the process of recovering from an accident that left her with a broken neck, she found that Pilates helped her regain the strength and mobility she needed for a full recovery. After her accident, Brooke's love of anatomy and Pilates led her to go back to school to finish her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at University Nevada Las Vegas. While in the desert, she also completed her 500 hour comprehensive training through BASI, Body Arts and Science, to become a Pilates instructor! Recently, having moved back to San Diego from Las Vegas, Brooke joined the Club Pilates staff and has never been more excited to be a part of the Pilates community here in San Diego. When not in the studio Brooke loves taking yoga classes, going to spin, or spending time at the beach!

  • Kirsty Taylor

Kirsty fell in love with Pilates 8 years ago. Having tried and failed with many types of exercise, a friend suggested she tried Pilates, she was immediately won over after just one mat session. She left England in 2012 and stumbled across Club Pilates in Rancho Bernardo totally by accident. She’d never seen a reformer or even heard of one until that day. She signed up immediately and from that day on never looked back. She loved how each session was totally unique and how much variation there was. With her youngest just starting school she felt it was time to find her new direction stateside. In January 2018 she decided to continue her Pilates journey by signing up for the Teacher Training program and become a certified Club Pilates instructor!

  • Beth Reimer

Beth first discovered Pilates in May 2017. She had been taking Barre classes and decided to try out a free intro class because she just wasn’t feeling like she was successful at Barre. From the first Pilates class Beth took, she was hooked and immediately signed up on a membership. After taking classes for a few months, Beth began to see positive changes in her body that she had never seen before – she was feeling stronger and leaner and felt healthier than she had in years. Loving the classes and staff, Beth began working for Club Pilates in November 2017 as a Sales Associate a couple of weekends a month. When the teacher training program started the following March, she jumped in and is started in on the Club Pilates apprentice program. She is working toward graduation by the end of 2019. Beth was born and raised in Escondido but lived in Seattle for 6 years. She moved back to Escondido in 2010 and works full time for a commercial bank. Between working full time and helping her mom, Beth is busy, but makes time for her love of Pilates. When Beth isn’t working or doing Pilates, you can find her at the beach, by her pool, or just spending time with her close friends. • Sahar Jalali

Pilates came into Sahar's life in high school, and she loved that she could work out with her own body weight. At that age, she did not understand the movements yet and simply just wanted to have fun and get stronger in the process. As years passed Sahar grew fond of Pilates and always incorporated it into her life. However, it was not until 4 years ago that she was introduced to Reformer pilates. The new world of movements and control caused her to fall in love with not just Pilates but every form of movement, which led me to get her certifications as a Yoga, TRX, and Meditation Instructor. Sahar loves bringing the mind body connection into class and believes that the Pilates Method is beneficial to everyone. Her goal is to not only help students get toned but to also become aware of their bodies in the process, helping in both the preventing and rehabilitation of their bodies!
