Gina was born in Northern California but migrated down to sunny San Diego where she has lived for over 20 years. She was introduced to Club Pilates in 2011 while searching for a complementary workout for her marathon training. One of her favorite quotes is "If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it." She really lived by this quote when she discovered the instructor certification program through Club Pilates. Gina completed her certification in 2013 and is grateful for all the wonderful changes it brought to her life. She is also a certified Barre Above Instructor. She loves it when a client has an "ah ha" moment in class, knowing she has made a difference in their daily pilates practice. When not in the studio, she loves to travel with her family and spend time outdoors. Of course a casual beer at any of our local breweries is a favorite past time as well:)
Jacque is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, though she has lived in California for the past 12 years. She received her certification through Club Pilates. She is also a certified Spin, and Barre instructor, receiving her certifications through Schwinn and Barre Above. When she is not teaching Pilates, she also works as a professional actress on stage, film, and television. Her passion for Pilates started at a young age with a decade of mat practice. After her first time on the reformer, she was hooked for life and knew she wanted to become an instructor. Jacque loves the strength in mind, body, and spirit that she gains from Pilates. Her favorite quote from Joseph Pilates is, "Patience and Persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor." She absolutely loves her job and clients, she says, "My clients amaze me, they inspire me, and they provide me with more happiness than they know."
I started doing Pilates as a New Years resolution in 2014. Was a gymnast when I was young. Have worked in healthcare for 25 years and as a registered nurse for the last 20 years. Initially, I wanted a form of exercise to challenge me, strengthen my core and keep my body healthy. I always enjoyed teaching people so I took the teacher training program to help others with their wellness.
Tressa was originally born and raised in Southern California. At the age of ten she was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk breaking her femur. Due to her young age and her growth plate they were unable to operate thus started her road to recovery, physical therapy and her passion for fitness began. In 2010 her love for Pilates grew strong and it led her to Marshall Eklund Pilates Studio to train in STOTT PILATES®. There she received her training in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. She started teaching in 2012 sharing her passion with others. She fell in love with Club Pilates because of all they have to offer, the amazing clients, the family bond among the instructors and most importantly being able to share Pilates with every type of body. She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from SDSU. Although Tressa is a vegetarian, she loves Mexican food and especially burritos.

Kara was born and raised in Colorado but has called San Diego home since 2009. After having several heart surgeries Pilates was one of the first exercises she was capable of doing. After one class, Kara knew that pilates would change her life forever! Kara truly believes that through pilates one will gain strength in mind, body, and spirit. When she is not in the pilates studio you can find her painting, hiking, rock climbing, doing yoga and playing with her dog Ramsey Addison. Kara’s favorite Joseph Pilates quote is, “To achieve the highest accomplishments within the scope of our capabilities in all walks of life we must constantly strive to acquire strong, healthy bodies and develop our minds to the limits of our ability.” She lives her life with the belief that every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things.
Stacy originally discovered Pilates when she had to do physical therapy. The therapist used a Cadillac reformer for her treatment and she realized she not only felt better but was getting an amazing workout. She is so excited to be joining the team and to help others discover and/or continue their love of the strength and flexibility Pilates can bring!
Tess is a true San Diego native, born and raised. She has always had a love for sports and competition from a young age, which lead her to play soccer competitively for clubs, Cathedral Catholic high school, and even Chapman University in Orange County. While attending Chapman University she found her passion for understanding the anatomy of the human body and how to prevent, treat, and rehab sports injuries, which lead her to the field of Athletic Training. She achieved her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and is a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2013. After college she moved back to San Diego, where her mom kept asking her to take a Club Pilates class with her. Finally she took her mom’s advice and the two took class together. She fell in love with the reformer and how the instructor incorporated her knowledge of anatomy to each exercise the class performed, the instructor would name specific muscles and showed a true understanding of the body as a whole. After that first class she immediately signed up for the Club Pilates Teacher Training and is now a teacher at many studios in San Diego. She combines her background in Sports Medicine to each Pilates class she teaches while creating different class flows, which highlight certain muscle groups for an energetic class which will have you moving from the first minute until the last. Certifications—Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Barre Above, TRX Suspension Trainer Instructor, CPR and AED for the health care professional.
Rhonda LOVES Pilates! She’s a wife, a mom, a cross country coach and now a Pilates instructor and loves every minute of it. Her approach to her classes is from a coaching perspective. She motivates, inspires and challenges the bodies in the room to give more than the little voices inside their heads allow them to. She knows, from experience, that many times a simple workout becomes difficult because we tell ourselves that it is. Yet, when we quiet those voices and allow our bodies to do what they can do, we amaze ourselves by our strength, our resilience, and our God-given talents. She encourages everyone to step outside their comfort zone and experience life with anticipation and great expectations! Rhonda looks forward to seeing you in her next class. :)
I was born and raised in San Diego and have always lived an active lifestyle. I grew up doing competitive gymnastics and dance and it eventually led me to Cal State Fullerton. While attending CSUF I participated in the national award-winning dance team and that is something that helped me solidify my decision to major in kinesiology. I worked at a Physical Therapy clinic throughout college and eventually became an exercise specialist. I stayed in that field for ten plus years and gained a plethora of knowledge about the body. Once I moved back to San Diego is when I really got into Pilates. I loved the mental and physical challenge it provides and the positive daily habits it gives me. No matter what the persons age, their constraints or physical nature I love to teach and give everyone a chance to move their body. While I was pregnant I stayed consistent with Pilates 2-4 times a week and I saw the benefits it provided. It kept me moving and I truly believe it helped my body prepare for labor and delivery as well as postpartum. I can’t say enough good things about Pilates and pregnancy after going through it myself. When I am not teaching Pilates, I am usually running around after my two-year-old daughter, Ainsley and our yellow lab Django. My husband and I love traveling and can’t wait to plan our next big trip.
