Alexandra Hutchins
Pilates InstructorAlexandra was first introduced to Pilates mat work when she was 17 during her training as a dancer. Since then her passion and appreciation for Pilates has grown. While receiving her B.A. in Psychology at UC Santa Cruz Alexandra continued her dance training and furthered her experience in Pilates mat work but left school with injuries that limited her ability to continue her work as a student and training as a dancer. Pilates helped her cope with these injuries as she turned to Pilates for rehabilitation. After feeling the benefits of Pilates in her own body she knew she wanted to become a Pilates instructor. She took a mat work teacher training program in 2013 and became interested in Pilates apparatus. She started taking classes at Club Pilates and fell in love with Pilates all over again. Alexandra completed her 500-hour instructor training through Club Pilates in July 2017. She enjoys teaching Pilates to empower others to improve their physical fitness and overall wellbeing.
