Dr. Ida L. Spector
Chiropractic PhysicianMeet Dr. Ida L. Spector, our lead doctor at NuSpine Hillcrest. She brings decades of clinical experience in trauma and, in more recent years, the wellness sector. Cultivating relationships with and influenced by some of the most respected and renowned in the profession, coupled with her dreams of making San Diego home early on, landed Dr. Spector the position of the first chiropractor in a multi-disciplinary trauma center in San Diego County before venturing into private practice. Dr. Spector views chiropractic care as “spinal hygiene,” stating, “Much like dental hygiene, regularly caring for our spines is essential to achieving and maintaining optimum health. Unlike our teeth, we don’t see or often pay much attention to our spines until a painful event occurs.” Born in Illinois, Dr. Spector graduated magna cum Laude from Southern California University of Health Sciences. She recently ran for city council in her local district and is dedicated to empowering patients with the tools and knowledge to impact their quality of life through chiropractic care. Fun facts: Dr. Spector was born on Mother’s Day and is a second-generation chiropractor.
