Angelique J. Pillar, MD is a fellowship trained and board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Pillar is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed her Ophthalmology training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore where she was selected as Chief Resident and Outstanding Resident in Ophthalmology. She completed a prestigious fellowship in leading edge corneal and refractive surgery at the world famous Cleveland Clinic. She then returned to Baltimore as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland. Dr. Pillar also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from Yale University.
